When " Extreme Makeover Home Edition" came to Manchester
NH K.C. Darrel got wind of it and had an idea. In the years that
his family has been in the business of selling pianos all around
New Hampshire, what Darrell's Music Hall has really been selling
is harmony. Harmony for schools, for families and for the
community as a whole. This was a unique opportunity for
Darrell's Music Hall to make a contribution to a family that
needed a reason to gather... |

According to K.C. Darrell, President of Darrell's Music Hall, "When I heard about the hardships brought
about by the Mother's Day Floods in NH to the Voisine family, my heart immediately pained at the thought
of young children forced to move away from home. Our donation of a Yamaha Clavinova is about helping
to bring this family backto their home... with a touch of musical magic." |

At the "Unite Build Change" benefit concert, on October 26,2007
at The Black Brimmer in Manchester, NH, the "Baby Grand"
announcement was made to the Voisine family... Not just to
Casey and Reynald, the parents, but to many other members
of their family who were in attendance. At this presentation,
K.C. Darrell and Russ Fontaine unveiled their meaningful gift,
which they delivered several days later. It was signed by the
entire design team of Extreme Makeover Home edition!

According the Russ Fontaine, General Manager of Darrell's, " Just seeing the looks on their faces
was priceless. This family has been through so much, and now their last piece of furniture will entertain
them and bring them together for many long years to come. I couldn't be happier to have been a part
of this project."
The night of the benefit concert, Brian O'Neal graced the stage along with many other national recording
artists to play the family's new piano (before delivery), sign it and bring smiles to the Voisine family and
a very loving New Hampshire crowd of supporters. |
